Why Join?

PCS has successfully represented members interests in ACAS in important areas such pay, terms and conditions, travel & subsistence and many more.

In recognition of this and wanting to play their part, many of your colleagues are joining us and we now have over 700 members out of 800+ staff. Members are a majority at all grades including the more senior levels. Rita Donaghy, the ACAS Chair is a PCS member and ACAS encourages staff to join and become involved in the trade union. Non-members are an increasingly small minority who are not receiving the benefits of belonging.

As well as the benefit of PCS negotiated conditions on pay and T&S which rival any in the civil service, there are other benefits too (click on the link below for more details). Many members have found that taking advantage of such things as the free Will-making service, insurance discounts and shopping vouchers has more than paid for their subscription.

We hope that you will agree that you should join your colleagues and become part of the PCS ACAS family. Application forms are obtainable from your local BEC Representative
